    Dana MacNamee DVM

    Dr. Dana MacNamee began practicing at Bay State Animal Clinic in 1984 and assumed leadership of the clinic in 1990. He is joined by fellow veterinarian Dr. RuthAnn Solomon. All of our veterinarians are skilled in small animal medicine and surgery.

    Areas of special interest include geriatrics, reproduction, feline medicine, behavioral problems and surgery.

  • RuthAnn Solomon DVM

    RuthAnn Solomon DVM

    RuthAnn Solomon DVM joined BASC in September 2006. Ruth completed her bachelor’s degree in English at Colby College and received her DVM at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her special interests include helping clients raise behaviorally sound pets and Theriogenology (reproductive medicine). She is a member of the AVMA, MVMA, VANS and SFT.

    Her interest in reproductive medicine stems from her almost 20 years’ experience in breeding, raising puppies and showing dogs,  obedience trials, hunt tests, and the breed ring. Much of her interest in training and behavior stems from her work  as the manager of a kennel for 3 years.
                                      
    She shares her home with 3 Labrador Retrievers and when not attending dog shows, seminars or professional conferences, she enjoys hiking with her dogs and is an avid photographer.

  • Phoebe Hoyt DVM

    Phoebe Hoyt DVM

    Phoebe Hoyt attended the University of New Hampshire where she received a BS in Animal Science and a MS in Animal Nutrition. She received her DVM at Tufts University in 1984. Phoebe worked at Bay State Animal Clinic after graduation for 2 years and returned in 2006 to work as a permanent part time employee.

    Phoebe lives with her husband, two children and two adorable Boston Terriers.
